Classic Motorshow, Birmingham NEC

This coming weekend sees the return of the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motorshow at the Birmingham NEC. The show is open from Friday 11th November, through to Sunday 13th November. This fantastic show spans 5 halls of the NEC, and is packed with all kinds of classic and performance cars, spanning decades of motoring. Additionally the show is packed with traders selling detailing products, tools, spares, automobile memorabilia, clothing and more.

As usual, the Corrado Club have a stand. We can be found at stand number 477, located in hall 5 which is near to Sporting Bears and the live stage. We’re pleased to announce that we will be joined by colleagues from the VW Classic Cup racing series who are kindly bringing Ken Lark’s legendary motorsport Corrado VR6 to display.

Corrado Club members can take advantage of discounted entry prices for either the Saturday or the Sunday, if they book in advance. Use the code CSCMS16 for single adult tickets at £19.50 each, or CFCMS16 for a family (two adults and three children aged between 5-15) ticket at £38.00.

For more information on the show, and to book tickets, click here.

If you take advantage of the discount and visit the show, please be sure to drop by the club stand, and hand us your ticket stubs. This will help us show to organisers how many folks we bring to the show, and will help us continue to maintain a presence at the event in the future. To say thanks, we’ll give you one of our new Corrado Club bottle opener key rings!

German Christmas Market

Leave the Corrado at home, and come join other club members for a mug of glühwein and a bratwurst! Our annual tradition of meeting at the Frankfurt Christmas Market in Birmingham continues this year. Join us at the foot of the old fountain in Victoria Square in Birmingham (10 minutes walk from New Street train station) at 13:00 on Saturday, 17th December. Last chance, too, for some late Christmas shopping!

Technical Top Tip!

Parking your Corrado up for winter? Here is a top tip to help keep your tyres in good condition, if you’re not planning to move it for a few months. Inflate your tyres to the maximum rated pressure. This information can found in the handbook, or in the tyre wall. Tyres can deform over time if they’re left in the same position, with the air pressure at the ‘normal’ amount. Inflating them to maximum helps eliminate this problem. Just remember to deflate them to the recommended pressure prior to using the car again!
